SUPPLY CHAIN
Rocket Labs Supply Chain teamis responsible forthe flow of all materials products and componentsthroughthe business. With many of our own products functioning as critical components to our own and our customers missions the Supply Chain team has a direct impact on the success of our rocket and satellite programs. They set up the assembly kits thatenablesour technicians to put together our Electron rockets manage inventory look after shipping and receiving manage direct and indirect procurement and inspect and ensure thatall ofour materials and products are compliant and up to standard. They are the chain that links our teamstogether andare critical to our success.
MANAGER INVENTORY AND LOGISTICS
Based onsite at Rocket Labs Middle River MD facility the Manager of Inventory and Logistics leads a team responsible for inventory controls & the daily execution activities of expediting receiving storage picking packing and local dispatch across our east coast operations. This leader will be very hands on working directly with team members to maintain high service levels to internal and external customers order fulfillment DIFOT inventory accuracy and adherence to standard operating procedures.
WHAT YOULL GET TO DO
- Direct a team of people responsible for inventory management material handling and shipping and receiving across several sites on the east coast.
- Accountable for inventory controls perpetual inventory reporting on-time delivery of material from inventory to production and packaging solutions to prevent damage to parts.
- Responsible for implementing systems and processesto managebar-coding and bin locations for inventory management.
- Responsible for inventory planning and kitting process to deliver materials line-side to production cells.
- Responsible for ensuring inventory accuracy and cycle counts are meeting Finance requirements.
- Responsible for ensuring shipping and receiving processes are in place and supportprocureto pay process.
- Responsible for receiving Inspection to ensure parts meet specifications.
- Travel domestically and abroad.
- Additionalduties as reasonablyrequired.
YOULL BRING THESE QUALIFICATIONS
- 8 years of experienceand a bachelorsdegreeor equivalent years of work experience (12 years of total work experience).
- 5 years of related experience in leadership within supply chain.
- Proven ability to manage inventory teams.
- Proven ability to implement systems and tools for material management.
- Proficient in MS Office ERP systemsmathand statistics.
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time to multiple sites primarily on the east coast.
THESE QUALIFICATIONS WOULD BE NICE TO HAVE
- Bachelors Degree
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities
- Team oriented strong ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment and to multiple deadlines
- Experience in aerospace automotive or other heavy manufacturing.
- Experience with ERP Systems
- Prior experience in high-paced rapid growth environment
This position may require prolonged periods of sitting standing walking computer work and occasional exposure to moderate levels of noise dust and fumes in production areas.
Level and base salary will be determined on a case-by-case basis and may vary based on the following considerations: job-related knowledge and skills education and experience.

Base Pay Range (MD Only)
$108000 - $135000 USD
