Job Summary
Duties & Responsibilities:
This role will provide supervision for daily Operations activities.
- Manage risks associated with processing a large daily volume of client cash and/or investment transactions.
- Be a resource for department associates as well as business partners for industry and system expertise.
- Ensure staff is properly developed to carry out their daily responsibilities and effectively service business partners.
- Interact with associates through formal and informal means to develop a productive engaged work force.
- Develop enforce and monitor controls which reduce risk to the organization and comply with laws and regulations
- Provide a high level of expertise to business partners and help them provide TUCE to UMB customers.
- All day to day operations associated with the business unit resource planning and deployment and skill set requirements
- Hiring developing managing direct report associates including compensation recommendations and disciplinary actions if needed
- Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge & Skills
MINIMUM:
- Demonstrates ability to communicate clearly with coworkers managers and business partners both verbally and in writing
- Demonstrates ability to actively lead team activities or work initiatives
- Demonstrates ability to be detail oriented and ensure work produced is of high quality
- Demonstrates ability to effectively manage a team of up to 12 individuals
- Demonstrates ability to effectively participate in business partner meetings
- Demonstrates ability to make sound decisions in a fast-paced environment
- Demonstrates advanced problem-solving and analytical skills
PREFERRED:
- High level of Global Plus or Transtar knowledge
- Effectively develop and execute innovative ideas
- Highly knowledgeable in multiple areas of Custody and/or Corporate Trust
Requirements
MINIMUM:
- Eight to Ten (8-10) years of financial services industry experience operations
- Experience with banking and/or custody systems
- Bachelors degree
- Four to Five (4-5) years of management experience
Work Environment
Large open cubical environment-must be able to work near other associates
