What Youll Do:

Monroe Harding has spent 130 years in Nashvilles corner caring for more than 16000 children and young adults in foster care and transitional housing. Were looking for a Director of HR & Operations who wants their expertise to fuel a mission that genuinely changes lives.


This is a seat at the table. Youll serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership and managers owning the full HR function recruitment onboarding performance management payroll benefits compliance and staff development while also overseeing key administrative and financial operations including vendor contracts audits and risk management. Youll directly supervise two team members and lead cross-functional process improvement efforts that strengthen the entire organization.

The Manager HR and Administration is one of the most pivotal roles in our organization. You will serve as a strategic partner to our VP of Finance & Administration and senior leadership team ensuring that our people systems financial operations and organizational infrastructure are all aligned to support our mission.


This role requires someone who genuinely thrives at the intersection of human resources and financial administration. If you see AP/AR benefits administration compliance payroll vendor management and employee relations as interconnected parts of a healthy organization rather than separate silos you will find this work deeply satisfying.

Requirements

What You Bring:

  • Bachelors in Business or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Have led HR and administrative functions in a nonprofit or mission-driven environment
  • Are as comfortable in a budget spreadsheet as you are in an employee relations conversation
  • Understanding of effective teamwork in values-driven culture
  • Are energized by building systems that let people do their best work
  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership reporting to the VP of Finance & Administration
  • Ensure 100% compliance in child welfare and financial standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement in a supportive trauma-informed environment.

Monroe Harding provides comprehensive services to children and teenagers in foster care (0-19 years old) young adults who are preparing to age out or have aged out of state custody (ages 16-26) and young adults victimized by crime (ages 18-24). More than 16000 children and young adults experienced Fannie Hardings legacy.
