The following position is to join our Corporate Strategy & Development team (CS&D):

The Corporate Strategy & Development group is responsible for driving the companys long-term growth and value creation by shaping strategic priorities evaluating new market opportunities and executing mergers acquisitions divestitures and other strategic transactions. CS&D reports directly to RTXs President & CEO and the team serves as advisors to company leadership on the highest value issues and opportunities facing the company.

The Manager position will be responsible for supporting a wide range of strategy and M&A projects. This individual will partner closely with senior leaders to evaluate growth opportunities drive portfolio strategy and support M&A transactions. The candidate must be a methodical structured thinker and must have the ability to take initiative and ownership of assigned projects/tasks and independently drive for results.

What You Will Do

• Support the development and execution of RTXs enterprise and business unit strategies aligned with long-term growth objectives
• Conduct defense and commercial aerospace market customer and competitor analyses to assess industry trends threats or emerging opportunities
• Assess customer needs defense budget priorities acquisition trends and geopolitical developments to inform strategies
• Support annual strategic planning processes portfolio reviews and long-range business unit planning
• Contribute to acquisitions divestitures other financial transactions and strategic opportunities by supporting financial modeling presentation development and due diligence execution
• Construct analytical models in support of various strategy analyses
• Assist in the preparation of senior-level briefings which involves summarizing and communicating insights at the right level
• Balance multiple projects while collaborating in a cross-functional work environment

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires: A University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years experience
• Proven analytical and financial modeling skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint required

• Aerospace & defense industrial or technology sector experience
• Ability to take ownership of assigned projects/teams handle ambiguity and independently drive for results
• Strong problem-solving skills (prioritization critical thinking hypothesis creation etc.)
• Ability to think pragmatically not just theoretically and drive execution of concepts
• Experience in a fast-paced dynamic environment
• Outstanding multi-tasking and teamwork capabilities
• Familiarity with financial data services (e.g. S&P Capital IQ Factset Bloomberg)
• Proven ability to listen negotiate influence and persuade others

The salary range for this role is 118300 USD - 224900 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including but not limited to individual performance business unit performance and/or the companys performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
