Job Summary
Position Overview
The Manager Convenings partners with Foundation teams and external stakeholders to design manage and evaluate convenings that advance programmatic and institutional priorities. Reporting to the Director Convenings and Networks the role supports the Bellagio convening portfolio and selected Foundation gatherings by providing strategic guidance stakeholder engagement operational oversight and impact assessment. The Manager helps ensure convenings serve as a high-value tool for building relationships advancing ideas and driving measurable outcomes.
Work Schedule: This role follows a hybrid schedule and is required to be on-site Monday through Thursday in New York City.
Hiring Range:$130000 - $150000. This represents the present low and high ends of the Foundations hiring range for this position. Actual pay will vary based on various factors including but not limited to experience.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Partner with the Director Convenings and Networks to develop and execute the Foundations convening strategy including frameworks tools and approaches that enhance the quality effectiveness and impact of convenings.
- Serve as a strategic partner to program teams in the design and execution of convenings that advance programmatic objectives strengthen relationships and catalyze action across priority issue areas.
- Lead the planning management and execution of selected convenings ensuring alignment with Foundation priorities participant experience standards and intended outcomes.
- Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders including program teams conveners network leaders and partners to strengthen engagement and maximize the impact of convening investments.
- Oversee the Bellagio convening selection process including outreach application review due diligence and recommendations ensuring alignment with Foundation strategy and institutional priorities.
- Support the strategic design participant engagement and impact assessment of Bellagio convenings and other Foundation-hosted gatherings.
- Develop and maintain strong partnerships across the Foundation including with program teams and Bellagio Center colleagues to ensure effective planning coordination and execution of convening activities.
- Analyze convening performance and impact data identify opportunities for continuous improvement and provide recommendations and reporting to leadership.
- Support the development of communications and storytelling materials that highlight the outcomes influence and impact of convenings across the Foundations network.
- Contribute to the ongoing evolution of the Foundations convening practice by identifying innovative approaches strengthening operational effectiveness and sharing best practices.
Education Experience and Skills
- Generally expected to have 7 years of relevant experience in program management strategy convenings and/or related project management.
- Bachelors degree required; advanced degree preferred.
- Experience working on the design and execution of convenings.
- Demonstrated ability to build and manage relationships across diverse stakeholders and effectively represent the Foundation internally and externally.
- Strong written verbal analytical and presentation skills with the ability to synthesize information and communicate effectively to varied audiences.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities navigate complexity and deliver high-quality work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong project management skills including planning execution coordination and continuous improvement.
- Experience using data and insights to inform decision-making assess outcomes and measure impact.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and experience working with CRM project management and collaboration tools.
- Ability to travel domestically and internationally as needed.
