Job Summary

The Manager Clinical Nutrition (CNM) leads clinical nutrition services ensuring the delivery of high-qualityevidence-based medical nutrition therapy and patient-centered care. This role provides leadership and oversightof clinical dietitians clinical practice standards workflow management regulatory compliance qualityimprovement and operational performance. Accountable for the management of daily clinical nutritionoperations ensuring efficient compliant and high-quality delivery of patient-centered nutrition with interdisciplinary teams to advance patient care educational activities qualityimprovementinitiatives and research-informed practice ensuring alignment with evolving clinical standards and trainingneeds.

Requirements/Qualifications:

  • Individuals earning the RDN credentialed after 1/2024 must hold a Masters Degree. Bachelors Degreeacceptable if RDN credentialing was obtained prior to 1/2024
  • Minimum of seven (7) years of experience as a clinical dietitian
  • Must be credentialed as a Registered Dietitian (RD) by the Commission on Dietetic Registration and licensedas a Dietitian-Nutritionist (LDN)per respective states licensing statutes and regulation.
  • Experience in Pediactrics preferred

Essential Functions


Manages the clinical nutrition services within the healthcare facility ensuring the delivery of safe effectiveand evidence-based nutrition care in alignment with organizational and regulatory standards.
Manages a team of clinical dietitians including hiring firing corrective action training monitoring andconducting performance reviews fostering a high-performing and accountable team.
Establishes implements and evaluates clinical practice standards policies and procedures to ensureconsistency quality and compliance in the delivery of nutrition care.
Ensures the effective application of the Nutrition Care Process (NCP) including timely assessmentsdocumentation and care plan implementation across patient populations.
Oversees clinical workflow including patient screening consult management caseload distribution andcoverage to optimize productivity and service delivery.
Ensures compliance with hospital policies professional standards and regulatory requirements maintainingsurvey readiness and documentation integrity.
Leads quality improvement initiatives focused on clinical and operational outcomes including length of staymalnutrition identification readmissions and patient experience.
Monitors departmental performance through data tracking audits and reporting to drive continuousimprovement and accountability.
Collaborates with interdisciplinary teams food and nutrition services and external partners to supportcoordinated efficient care delivery.
Manages departmental resources and contributes to budget stewardship ensuring appropriate utilization of staffing and operational resources.

Visit Range: Minimum 41.88/hour - Maximum 73.31/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
