We are currently seeking a full-time Affordable Housing Manager to join our team specifically focused on working with seniors. Knowledge of HUD policies and procedures governing subsidized elderly housing and recertification including experience working with the elderly nonprofit or the property management experience is a plus. Bachelor Degree in Business Administration or similar is preferred. Certified Apartment Manager (CAM) Registered Apartment Manager (RAM) or Accredited Residential Manager (ARM) certification is a plus.

Providence Community Housing is a 501(c)3 nonprofit affordable housing developer and property manager serving the Greater New Orleans area. With almost 20 years of development experience and over 1700 residential units developed to date Providence has taken over the property management functions of Christopher Homes Inc. and is proud to add their 60 year history of excellence to our team managing over 2400 senior affordable apartments. We focus on the production and preservation of affordable housing and empowering strong communities.

A typical day in the life of an Affordable Housing Manager working with seniors involves overseeing both resident needs and the site staff. Youll start your day by reviewing emails and voicemails to address any urgent concerns. Throughout the day youll meet with current or prospective residents assist with lease signings handle maintenance requests and coordinate with vendors to ensure the property is addition youll manage and support site staff ensuring they are fulfilling their responsibilities and providing excellent service to residents. Youll also work closely with residents offering support and fostering a strong sense of community all while keeping detailed records and ensuring compliance with housing regulations. Were looking for a candidate who:

• Has a passion for working with seniors and creating a positive supportive environment
• Is organized detail-oriented and able to manage multiple tasks
• Demonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Is comfortable using computers and property management software
• Is reliable adaptable and ready to handle occasional on-call responsibilities
• Has prior experience in property management or a related field (preferred but not required)

This is a full-time position typically Monday through Friday with occasional on-call responsibilities for emergencies. While most of your workday will be during regular business hours there may be times when youll need to respond to urgent situations outside of these hours to ensure the safety and well-being of our residents. Flexibility and responsiveness are key to this role.
