Reporting to the Vice President and Chief Development Officer the Manager Campaign & Special Projects serves as a key strategic and operational partner in advancing institutional fundraising priorities campaign objectives and special initiatives. Juilliard has embarked on a $550 million endowment campaign to make the school removing financial barriers to the greatest performing arts school in the world Juilliard will have the resources to advance artists and the arts for the public role is responsible for managing campaign operations coordinating cross-functional activities supporting campaign leadership and volunteers and driving the execution of strategic projects that advance the goals of the Development Office. The Manager acts as a central coordinator across internal stakeholders donors volunteers and institutional leadership to ensure campaign efforts remain on track and aligned with organizational priorities.

About the Department:

The Development Office advances The Juilliard Schools mission by securing philanthropic support from individuals foundations corporations and other partners. Working closely with institutional leadership trustees alumni donors and friends of the school the office develops and manages fundraising initiatives donor engagement programs stewardship activities special events and campaign efforts that help sustain and expand Juilliards world-class programs in music dance and drama. The Development team serves as a strategic partner across the institution fostering relationships and supporting investments that enhance student opportunities artistic excellence and the schools long-term priorities.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Lead the day-to-day management and coordination of campaign operations including prospect tracking fundraising pipelines campaign strategies task management and milestone tracking.

  • Maintain comprehensive campaign timelines and project plans to ensure campaign goals and deliverables are achieved.

  • Prepare campaign-related correspondence including proposals solicitation materials meeting briefings stewardship communications and follow-up documentation.

  • Coordinate and support campaign committee meetings volunteer activities and leadership engagements through preparation of materials presentations agenda development and briefing documents.

  • Partner with Development leadership and finance teams to oversee campaign-related budgeting and resource allocation.

  • Monitor campaign progress and provide reporting analysis and recommendations to campaign leadership

  • Participate in other ad-hoc initiatives/projects as needed.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelors degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 3- 5 years ofexperience in fundraising campaign management project management nonprofit administration or a related field.

  • Demonstrated experience managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and competing priorities.

  • Excellent written verbal and interpersonal communication skills.

  • High degree of professionalism discretion and ability to handle confidential information.

  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy and follow-through.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook Word Excel PowerPoint) Adobe Acrobat and other office productivity tools.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience supporting comprehensive fundraising campaigns.
  • Experience working with senior leaders boards campaign committees or volunteers.
  • Experience using constituent relationship management (CRM) or database systems such as Raisers Edge Tessitura or similar platforms.
  • Interest in higher education arts and culture or nonprofit organizations
