Job Summary
The Accounting Operations Manager is responsible for directing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department. Reporting to the Corporate Controller this hands-on leader supervises Accounts Payable Accounts Receivable Payroll and future accounting staff ensuring timely accurate transaction processing and an efficient monthly close.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Direct daily AP AR Payroll General Ledger processing treasury administration and fixed asset accounting.
- Supervise coach schedule and develop accounting staff.
- Coordinate the monthly and year-end close process and ensure deadlines are achieved.
- Review account reconciliations and resolve operational accounting issues.
- Oversee vendor payments billing collections cash application and payroll administration.
- Prepare audit schedules tax workpapers and financial support for external advisors.
- Maintain accounting procedures documentation and departmental workflows.
- Monitor operational KPIs and recommend process improvements.
- Provide backup support for all accounting functions.
What Makes You A Great Fit
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance required
- Five or more years of progressive accounting experience including supervision
- Experience managing AP AR Payroll and General Ledger functions
- Construction manufacturing or project accounting experience preferred
