Role Overview

This is a high-level financial leadership position focused on planning organizing and directing general corporate accounting and account classification functions. Working in a structured hybrid setup in Dallas TX you will analyze accounting policies ensure GAAP compliance monitor financial reporting systems and lead a specialized accounting team within the energy sector.

Key Responsibilities

  • Accounting Leadership: Plan organize and direct financial accounting tax treatment revenues earnings and account classification functions. Supervise and mentor accounting personnel.

  • Compliance & Integrity: Analyze accounting policies procedures and corresponding internal controls to ensure regulatory compliance and absolute integrity of financial statements/reports.

  • Systems & Process Optimization: Monitor and maintain complex accounting and financial reporting systems; research evaluate and propose system updates to expedite accounting controls.

  • Audit & Advisory Support: Provide detailed information and technical assistance to management regulatory agencies auditors and internal teams regarding accounting classification budgets and investments.

  • Data Synthesis & Reporting: Compile verify and approve highly critical corporate financial reports guidelines presentations and financial correspondence.

Required Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelors degree in Accounting Finance or a closely related field.

  • Core Industry Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting experience strictly within the Oil & Gas sector. Prior experience in the Midstream domain is highly preferred.

  • Technical Mastery: Thorough expert-level knowledge of GAAP corporate accounting methods practices procedures financial reporting and FASB pronouncements.

  • Technical Systems: Direct hands-on experience utilizing specialized industry software such as TIPS Waterfield and PowerBI.

  • Leadership Capabilities: Proven supervisory and management skills with experience reviewing financial data audits and directing group presentations.

  • Sponsorship & Mobility: Candidates must have full authorization to work in the US without sponsorship. No relocation assistance is available.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license active and in good standing.

  • Demonstrated track record of leading training and scaling an accounting team within an enterprise Oil & Gas environment.

  • Strong background in applying statistics economic theory and advanced data modeling during corporate rate case orders or federal audits.
