STATUS:Full time - Mammo Technologist Senior
LOCATION: Unity Hospital - 1555 Long Pond Road Rochester NY 14626
DEPARTMENT: Diagnostic Imaging
SCHEDULE: Monday-Friday between hours of 7 a.m.- 5:30 p.m. with weekend rotation every few weeks.
SUMMARY
As a Mammo Tech Senior you are to demonstrate excellent customer service communication skills and obtain quality positioning and imaging quality studies while providing maximum comfort and safety to patients. Warm and comforting patient care skills are mandatory for these sensitive procedures. Training clinical staff and lending support to the broader mammography team
ATTRIBUTES
BLS Certification.
Prior Radiologic Technologist experience.
ARRT Advanced Mammography Certification (ARRT-M).
Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work with various software applications.
Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Strong patient care behaviors.
Provide staff training education guidance and clinical support to other mammography technologists.
Strong working relationship with the referring surgeons staff.
Assists with managing patient flow and has a strong knowledge of patient scheduling.
Proficiently performs advanced mammographic procedures with little supervision.
Preps and reviews cases for pre-procedure planning.
Protocol the exams with the radiologist.
Meets federal guidelines by performing daily and weekly QA for the imaging equipment and specimen imager.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Two-year college degree in Radiologic Technologist in Applied Science or equivalent.
Two years experience as a Mammography Technologist.
NYS license in Radiologic Technology.
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists Certification (ARRT-R).

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for a successful full time applicant. It may be modified in the future and eligible for additional pay components. Pay is determined by factors including experience relevant qualifications specialty internal equity location and contracts.
