Dignity Health Advanced Imaging a service of Dignity Health Medical Foundation provides cutting-edge diagnostic imaging services at 23 locations across Redding Santa Cruz Sacramento Woodland. Our team of 160 staff members work with our specialty trained and board certified radiologists to provide high quality care to our patients. The locations perform more than 175000 exams annually with the goal of providing top quality imaging compassionate care and timely service with a smile.

As ourRadiologic Mammography Technologist you will helppatients and Radiologistscapture usable diagnostic imagesso they canaccurately diagnose and/or rule out different conditions. This position is represented by SEIU-UHW.

Every day you willperform mammographic imaging procedures and patient care services. You will be expected tomaintain a clean organized and safe environment apply thorough and accurate imaging techniques for patient positioning and document patient concerns and care provided.

To be successful in this role you willdemonstrate enthusiasm to help others a desire to have a positive impact on patients lives excellent initiative to improve radiologist efficiencies and a commitment to completing exams in a timely fashion within Tracker RIS.

Required:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Satisfactory completion of a formal AMA school of Radiololgic Technology or equivalent to an AMA Technologic program. Completion of 40 hours of structured education in Mammography.
• Certification by the California Registry of Radiologic Technologists (CRT)
• Current BLS through American Heart Association (AHA BLS)
• Excellent interpersonal organizational and customer service skills are essential. Demonstrated knowledge of anatomy and physiology for imaging proper operation of and care of radiology diagnostic equipment and radiation safety is required.

Preferred:

• One (1) year experience as a Radiologic/Mammography Technologist is preferred.
• Six (6) months experience in an out patient environment is preferred.
• RTR
• Medical terminology and familiarity with an electronic practice management system and PACS is preferred.
