Maintenence B

POSITION SUMMARY: The Maintenance B position role is an entry level position in the maintenance department. General duties include small tool repair welding lead rebuilding basic welder troubleshooting and welder lead installation on the production floor.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Performing welder lead troubleshooting and repair
• Small tool repair on pneumatic and cordless battery powered tools
• Basic weld machine troubleshooting and repair
• Weekly inventory of assigned part locations
• Entering all work accomplished into the CMMS System
• ALL OTHER DUTIES AS ASSIGNED

EXPERIENCE/QUALIFICATIONS:

• Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or Equivalent
• Preferred Degree: Trade Tech or Vocational Education in industrial maintenance (if applicable)
• Certificate(s) or License(s): N/A
• Years of experience: 1 to 3 years

KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITY:

• Basic understanding of Mechanical and Electrical Systems.
• Basic understanding of Pneumatic and Hydraulic Systems.
• Ability to use hand and power tools
• Basic communication skills
• Basic computer skills
• Basic welding skills

TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS:

• N/A

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Regularly walks stands and does computer work.

Occasionally lifts up to 50 lbs.

Seldom/Never sits.

• Comfortable working inside and outside in all weather conditions
• Ability to work in high heat and humid locations
• Ability to work in loud environments
• Ability to work in dusty and smokey environments
• Ability to work with all chemicals required in daily job duties
• Ability to work on slippery and uneven working surfaces

INDEPENDENT JUDGEMENT:

Performs tasks and duties under general supervision using established procedures and innovation. Chooses from limited alternatives to resolve problems. Occasional independent judgment is required to complete work assignments. Often makes recommendations to work procedures policies and practices.
