As a Maintenance Technician I you will be an integral part of our maintenance team ensuring the smooth operation and upkeep of our hotel facilities. Your role will involve a variety of tasks from responding to guest requests and performing basic repairs to assisting with larger maintenance projects. Responsibilities
- Respond promptly and efficiently to guest requests and maintenance issues ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
- Perform basic repairs and maintenance tasks such as plumbing electrical and HVAC work following safety protocols.
- Assist senior technicians and engineers in larger maintenance projects learning and gaining hands-on experience.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they become major problems.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation of all maintenance activities ensuring compliance with hotel standards and regulations.
- Communicate effectively with guests colleagues and supervisors providing updates and resolving any concerns.
- Follow all safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for yourself and others.
- Attend training sessions and workshops to enhance your skills and stay updated with industry best practices.
- Work collaboratively with other departments such as Housekeeping and Front Office to ensure a seamless guest experience.
- Maintain a professional and friendly demeanor representing the Hilton brand with pride and enthusiasm.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent is required; post-secondary education in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Previous experience in a maintenance or hospitality role is an asset but not essential for entry-level candidates.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a guest-centric approach.
- Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical and HVAC systems is beneficial.
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays as required by the hotels operational needs.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and carry moderate weights.
- A positive attitude and a willingness to learn and adapt to new challenges.
- Basic computer literacy and familiarity with maintenance management software is an advantage.
- A valid drivers license and a clean driving record may be required for certain tasks.
