Removes trash/debris from city receptacles and from public areas. Ensures cityright-of-waysmeet cleanliness standards by following established routes either on foot or by vehicle. Performs Work is assigned by the designated crew leader and is inspected for quality and productivity.

Typical Work Hours:Typical work hours: 10:30PM to 7:30AM

Minimum Qualifications:
Ability to read write and follow instructions. Some laborer experience in street or park maintenance desired. Valid Florida Drivers License required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of the position including working outdoors in varying weather conditions for extended periods of time and exposure to insects chemicals traffic fumes and public rights-of-way. Position requires performing physically demanding work including lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be available to work weekends and holidays as required

This is a full-time CONTRACT position with the same benefits as Regular full-time. Most contracts are renewable for terms of one year.

If this posting indicates a degree is required the following experience will apply in lieu of any degree as follows:

  • Two (2) years of direct experience for an associate degree;
  • Four (4) years of direct experience for a bachelors degree;
  • Six (6) years of direct experience for a masters degree; or
  • Nine (9) years of direct experience for a doctoral degree.
