Maintenance Technician (weekend shift)

We at Leggett & Platt Incorporated are searching for a Maintenance Technician within our Operationsteam to help support our Automotivebusiness. Our automotive products fall into four primary groups: Seating and Lumbar support Motors Actuators and Massage Systems. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for overseeing and performing day-to-day maintenance and operational corrections for the production lines and facility ensuring that all systems equipment and building infrastructure are functioning efficiently and safely. This position also serves as a multi-craft technician supporting production processes capable of performing a wide range of maintenance tasks including electrical mechanical hydraulics pneumatics and related maintenance work.

So what will you be doing as a Maintenance Technician (Multi-craft)

• Ensure compliance with safety policies OSHA standards and company maintenance procedures.
• Diagnose troubleshoot and adjust or repair mechanical hydraulic pneumatic and electrical issues with the operational equipment that is affecting the quality or output of the production product.
• Perform and oversee routine maintenance including inspections preventive maintenance and repairs to systems and equipment with limited supervision and guidance during shift.
• Execute corrective maintenance on machinery production equipment and building components as needed.
• Maintain records of maintenance activities service logs and equipment performance.
• Conform with the environmental policy and procedures and with the requirements of the environmental management system.
• Perform other duties as requested or as deemed appropriate.

To be successful in this role youll need:

• Must be able to interact with management and other employees: to troubleshoot and repair issues with plant production equipment; must be able to obtain a forklift and aerial platform lift license; must possess problem solving skills lean manufacturing continuous improvement; Have capability of working in a team environment.
• Working schedule: Friday to Monday from 4:45 am to 3:15 pm

Education and previous experience

• High school diploma or GED; technical or trade school certification preferred (is a plus).
• Knowledgeable multi-craft skills (mechanical electrical industrial controls pneumatic etc.).
• Basic knowledge of computer usage and maintenance work management systems.
• Prefer at least 2-4 years of working experience in the trained area in industrial manufacturing.

Prefer previous experience in shift leadership over an industrial technical
