Job Summary
POSITION SUMMARY:
Puyallup Tribal Enterprises (PTE) is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician for our Tahoma Fuel Stores. Maintenance Technicians for our car wash support safe reliable and efficient car wash operations by inspecting cleaning maintaining and troubleshooting car wash equipment and related systems. This role helps ensure the car wash area remains clean stocked functional and guest-ready while following company standards safety practices and maintenance procedures. The Maintenance Technician communicates equipment concerns supply needs downtime and repair issues to management and assists with maintaining a positive guest experience.If you want to join a great new Team please apply!
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Excellent attendance
- Inspect car wash equipment wash bays vacuums payment equipment signage hoses nozzles brushes dryers drains and surrounding areas to ensure safe and proper operation
- Perform routine cleaning preventive maintenance basic adjustments and minor repairs on car wash equipment and related systems
- Troubleshoot basic mechanical electrical plumbing chemical and wash-quality issues and escalate major repairs or vendor service needs to management
- Monitor chemical levels cleaning supplies water flow and operating conditions; replace or replenish supplies as needed
- Keep the car wash area clean organized and safe by removing debris emptying trash cleaning spills and identifying hazards promptly
- Test equipment after maintenance or repair work to confirm safe operation and consistent wash quality
- Document inspections maintenance activities repairs parts used supply needs equipment concerns and downtime according to company procedures
- Communicate equipment issues safety concerns parts needs guest concerns and operational updates to the Operations Manager or designated leader
- Assist guests and team members with car wash-related questions service concerns and basic operating issues
- Support store operations fuel systems facility upkeep and other duties as assigned by management
- Identify opportunities for improvements identify potential areas of risk and share information with key stakeholders to maximize results throughout Tahoma Fuel
- Use all company resources efficiently to promote maximum financial results for Tahoma Fuel; maintain Tahoma Fuel equipment and assets to maximize return on investment
- Establish and maintain effective business relationships with all employees vendors business partners government/regulatory entities and communities in which we operate
- Strictly follow workplace safety measures; safeguard the welfare of all employees guests visitors and business partners at all times; promptly report workplace risks incidents injuries and near misses
- Maintain strict confidentiality regarding all sensitive and proprietary business information and safeguard Tahoma Fuel assets at all times
REQUIREMENTS:
Minimum
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid WA Drivers License and good driving record
- One year of maintenance equipment repair car wash facilities automotive fuel retail or related hands-on work experience
- Experience using wide variety of basic hand tools
- Ability to learn and safely operate car wash equipment maintenance tools cleaning equipment and company systems
- Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to troubleshoot routine equipment and facility issues
- Strong attention to detail time management communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and follow equipment instructions safety labels chemical handling requirements and maintenance checklists
- Ability to prioritize work respond to urgent equipment concerns and communicate clearly with management and team members
- PC proficient and familiar with MS Office
- Good verbal and written communication skills in English
- Relates well to all people diplomatic /gracious; builds good relationships without compromising results

- Ability to occasionally work non-standard hours to accommodate business needs including nights weekends and holidays
- Ability to pass Background Check
Preferred
- Technical mechanical electrical plumbing facility maintenance or equipment repair coursework or certification
- Two years of equipment maintenance facility maintenance car wash operations or mechanical repair experience
- Experience troubleshooting pumps motors sensors conveyors vacuums chemical systems water systems or payment equipment
- Experience working with vendors service technicians or maintenance ticketing/documentation systems
- Experience working with Tribal enterprises
