Job Summary
- Adherence to and support ofLanxess Environmental Health and Safety policies
- Support of the Maintenance Work Process.
- Cutting welding steel fabrication and pipe fitting.
- Maintenance of centrifugal and positive displacement pumps gearboxes air / gas compressors blowers glass and glass lined steel equipment and hydraulic systems tanks and pressure vessel mechanical seals and all other process equipment
- Alignment of rotating equipment
- Troubleshooting equipment failures
- Record keeping
- High School Diploma
- Technical degree preferred
- Two (2) years or more mechanical experience in a chemical petrochemical industry a plus ability to demonstrate precision repair and rebuild of rotating equipment laser alignment pipe fitting and valve repair
- Must have excellent communication skills (written oral and comprehension)
- Computer skills a plus
- Must be willing to work scheduled / unscheduled overtime call-outs and week-end / holiday coverage as required
- Successful candidate must complete Maintenance Training Course (10 volumes TPC training material) per established schedule
- Must have a willingness to learn and work in an ever changing environment
- Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner
- Must have a valid drivers license
