General Shale Brick Inc. the leading manufacturer of brick and masonry materials is seeking an experienced Maintenance Technician to join our Roanoke VA manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on opportunity within a highly automated team-oriented production environment where youll play a key role in maintaining equipment reliability safety and operational efficiency.

What Youll Do:

• Perform diagnostics repair and preventative maintenance on general mechanical equipment.

• Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic pneumatic electrical and plumbing systems.

• Complete general fabrication and welding tasks including passing an in-house welding test.

• Safely operate oxygen and acetylene torches cutoff wheels grinders drills reciprocating saws and other power tools.

• Demonstrate proficiency with basic hand tools including wrenches screwdrivers files sockets and ratchets.

• Maintain shop organization cleanliness and safe work practices.

• Collaborate with production and maintenance team members to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

• Follow work instructions and safety policies in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

What Were Looking For:

• Minimum of one year of related industrial maintenance experience required.

• Working knowledge of general fabrication welding electrical systems hydraulics and pneumatics.

• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a maintenance team.

• Ability to follow directions and read and understand technical instructions.

• Willingness to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment.

• Strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Physical Demands:

• Frequent standing walking bending stooping and reaching.

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to perform visual inspections and hands-on mechanical work throughout the shift.
