Maintenance Technician

The position will focus primarily on general facility maintenance routine inspections patching and painting basic repairs and preventative maintenance tasks. Extensive HVAC or electrical experience is not required.

• First Shift: 7:00 AM 3:30 PM
• Monday through Friday
• Occasional Saturday work may be required
• One current opening with the possibility of an additional opening

• Perform routine facility inspections and general preventative maintenance.
• Complete monthly facility checks including inspection of fire extinguishers and other safety-related equipment.
• Handle general building maintenance issues and service requests.
• Perform wall patching painting touch-ups and minor cosmetic repairs.
• Repair doors hardware fixtures furniture and other building components.
• Assist with basic plumbing and general facility repairs as needed.
• Move furniture equipment materials and supplies throughout the facility.
• Complete assigned work orders and update maintenance activity through the facilitys CMMS/work order system.
• Identify facility issues and communicate repair needs to supervisors or appropriate vendors.
• Assist with interior and exterior facility inspections.
• Maintain tools equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
• Follow all facility safety procedures and required regulations.
• Support additional facility maintenance projects and duties as assigned.

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 13 years of experience in general building maintenance facilities maintenance construction handyman work or a related trade preferred.
• Basic knowledge of common facility repairs and maintenance practices.
• Experience with patching painting doors hardware furniture repairs or similar general maintenance tasks.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently while also supporting a larger facilities team.
• Good communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to use or learn a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
• Valid drivers license in good standing.
• Ability to meet applicable background and screening requirements.

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Frequent bending kneeling climbing reaching and lifting.
• Ability to safely lift and move up to 80 pounds when required.
• Ability to safely use ladders and common maintenance tools.
• Ability to perform hands-on maintenance work throughout the facility.

• Previous commercial or industrial facility maintenance experience.
• Experience using a CMMS or electronic work order system.
• Forklift or lift-truck experience/license is a plus.
• Facilities maintenance mechanical or building-trades certifications are a plus.
• Basic plumbing experience.
• Basic familiarity with mechanical building systems.
