MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN
TheCrowne Plaza Portland Downtown - Convention Centeris seeking aMaintenanceTechnicianto join our team. The Maintenance Technician performs general and preventative maintenance of all equipment physical structures and landscaping in compliance with corporate/franchise standards to protect the asset ensure optimum operations and maximize guest satisfaction.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge of:
- General knowledge of plumbing electrical drywall painting and carpentry required.
- Wall paper and carpet repair skills preferred.
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals and complete routine reports and logs.
- Communicate effectively in a courteous manner with guests and coworkers and maintain positive guest relations at all times.
- Add subtract multiply and divide using units of weight volume and distance.
- Work independently and as part of a team to complete daily activities.
- Meet attendance requirements with dependability and consistency.
- Manage ones time in order to meet productivity standards.
- Three years experience in building maintenance or equivalent combination of experience and education.
- Previous experience in hospitality at a similarly sized property highly preferred.
- Previous preventative maintenance experience preferred.
Heavy Work:Exerting up to 100 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 50 lbs. of force frequently and/or up to 20 lbs. of force constantly to move objects.
Must be able to see walk stand bend climb balance lift carry crouch kneel push and pull. Physical strength and manual dexterity to operate necessary equipment and perform required duties
