Maintenance Technician

Job Summary: Responsible for ensuring operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventative maintenance requirements on CNC machines; following diagrams sketches operations and manuals manufacturersinstructionsand engineering specifications.Troubleshooting malfunctions andrepairswhere necessary.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Receive work ordersidentifyfaultyequipmentandacquireparts and equipment to complete repairs.

• Troubleshoot repair install andmaintainproduction equipment from basic hydraulic equipment to complex CNC machinery performing both electrical and mechanical work.

• Complete projects such as mechanical and electrical hardware and software upgradescalibrationsand retrofits.

• Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools level plumb bobs and straight edges.

• Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting analyzing and summarizing information and trends.

• Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop tools and equipment.

• Review production specificationsidentifyand report capacity restraints.

• Maintains a safe and clean working environment bycomplying withprocedures rules and regulations.

• Locates sources of problems byobservingmechanical devices operation; listeningforproblems; using precision measuring and testing instruments.

• Maintain andacquirenew technical knowledge by attending educational workshops reviewing technicalpublicationsandestablishingpersonal networks.

• Controls downtime by informing production workers of routine preventative maintenancefor CNC grindersandPlatitCoating machines.

• General Building Maintenance and Custodial Duties.

• Compliance with local laws industry standards EnvironmentalHealth andSafety requirements and relevant ISO certifications.

• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:

• Highschool diploma or General Education Degree (GED); or 6monthsindustry related experience and/or training.

• Certification from a qualified training institution in the field of machine maintenance is ideal but not.

• 2 years of equipment maintenance in a machine shop environment is.

• Experience with CNC repair and/or robotics is.

• Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office knowledge and/or Computerized Maintenance Management System is desired.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong analytical andproblem solvingability.

• Ability to perform maintenance functions such as replacing spindles ball screws bearingsslidesand other components of machine tools.

• Ability to coordinateand prioritizedaily workload based on capacity and customer demands.

• Proficient in MS Office.

• Excellent communication projectmanagementand organizational skills.

• Strong understanding of electrical mechanical fluid power and control systems.

• Demonstrated ability to perform electricalmechanicaland hydraulic repairs used in electrical and mechanical maintenance technician work assignments.

• High ability to analyze troubleshoot and perform repairs.

• Ability to follow diagrams sketches operations manualsmanufacturersinstructionsand engineering specifications.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods of standing with some lifting bending and twisting.

• Ability tolift upto 50 pounds.

• Ability to stoopbendor kneel when.
