Tetra Pak Tubex Inc. is looking for a Maintenance Technician to be based out of our Louisa VA factory. This position that will perform all maintenance tasks involved in the production of straws by following standard work methods to ensure quality and safe work practices.
As a Maintenance Technician your key responsibilities will be:
Perform basic maintenance repair and troubleshoot on U straw machines extruders and Telescopic straw production line
Clean inspect lubricate and identify general machine anomalies
Reporting on all maintenance tasks
Participate on Autonomous Maintenance Teams lead teams as needed
Train other employees as needed
Problem solving
Perform other duties as assigned

2 years basic machine maintenance experience

A maintenance technician works on equipment maintenance including breakdown maintenance. They maintain the machines as per AM/PM logs ensure proper equipment works during the shift and correct anomalies in case of breakdown peform preventive and corrective activities on equipment according to maintenance plans under the supervision of Maintenance Engineer.
You will:
Follow production safety rules and work according to existing procedures/standards and maintenance process
Receive and sort spare parts consumables/supplies as per SOP and 5S standards.
Participate in regular preventive maintenance.
Maintain MDM request and update equipment tree in SAP5 based on requests.
Attend to breakdowns onsite ensuring arapid response and that plant equipment and machine breakdown time is minimised
Participate as a member in maintenance improvement teams
Measurables:
Short stops/ breakdowns on machine/equipment mean down time targets red tags numbers activities in SAP spare parts storage time based maintenance compliance ratio and targets 5S all maintenance areas
