Maintenance TechnicianBusiness: Pharma Solutions Department: Facilities Engineering and Maintenance Location: LexingtonBusiness: Pharma SolutionsDepartment: Facilities Engineering and MaintenanceLocation: LexingtonJob Overview The Maintenance Technician ensures safe efficient and continuous operations by troubleshooting repairing and performing preventative maintenance on equipment in a pharmaceutical manufacturing StructureThis position reports to the Maintenance SupervisorKey Responsibilities:- Uses hand tools power tools and delicate testing equipment in performance of duties- Completes basic maintenance procedures with minimal supervision- Complete complex Maintenance with limited supervision- Completes maintenance request work orders for regulated and un-regulated systems- Performs routine checks/inspection routes. Records equipment readings and changes chart paper.- Effective documentation of Preventive Maintenance and Calibration under the GMP development and research umbrella- Complete Equipment Activation following established procedure- Schedule self-performed work assigned at beginning of month and due by end of month- Schedules and escorts contractors through facility for routine deliveries or inspections. Ensuring they complete activities per procedure or agreements- Recommend facility improvements to meet OSHA safety ISPE or FDA guidelines- Creation of maintenance procedures and updating existing procedures to match best practices and lessons learned- Identifies and orders spare or replacement parts for equipment utilizing inventory management system.- Performs other duties as assignedQualifications:- High School Diploma or equivalent advanced technical certification preferred- 2-4 years experience in industrial maintenance supporting a manufacturing facility preferably in a cGMP related environment
