Maintenance Technician

MalaceHR is seeking a dependable and motivated Maintenance Technician to support the daily maintenance operations of a busy distribution center. This role is responsible for performing routine preventive maintenance responding to facility repair requests and helping maintain a safe clean and efficient work environment.

The ideal candidate has experience with general building maintenance basic plumbing electrical HVAC and carpentry repairs. Reliability strong work ethic and punctuality are essential for success in this position.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform routine preventive maintenance throughout the facility.
• Complete work orders involving general building repairs and maintenance.
• Replace light bulbs ceiling tiles and other building components.
• Perform basic plumbing repairs including sinks faucets and minor leaks.
• Complete minor carpentry repairs involving doors hardware office furniture chairs shelving and push carts.
• Assist with painting and general cosmetic repairs throughout the facility.
• Assist with basic troubleshooting of HVAC equipment.
• Perform light electrical maintenance including lighting repairs and basic troubleshooting.
• Conduct routine facility inspections and report maintenance concerns.
• Set up conference rooms or workspaces as requested.
• Move office furniture equipment and materials safely.
• Maintain clean organized and safe work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies OSHA regulations and established maintenance procedures.
• Complete preventive maintenance documentation and work order records.
• Respond promptly and professionally to maintenance requests while providing excellent customer service.

Qualifications

Required

• Minimum 1 year of commercial building or facilities maintenance experience.
• Experience performing general preventive maintenance.
• Basic knowledge of:
  • Plumbing repairs
  • Electrical troubleshooting
  • Carpentry repairs
• Experience using a volt meter.
• Ability to safely operate common hand and power tools.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Excellent attendance punctuality and reliability.

Preferred

• Experience working in a warehouse or distribution center environment.
• Maintenance certifications are a plus but not required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to climb ladders up to 30 feet.
• Frequent standing walking bending kneeling stooping reaching and lifting.
• Ability to work safely in an active warehouse environment.

Schedule & Work Environment

• Monday Friday 7:30 AM 4:00 PM
• First shift with occasional flexibility based on business needs.
• Work performed inside an active distribution center.
• Steel-toe boots are required.
