Job Description: Preferred Personnel Solutions is seeking to hire a Maintenance Technician for a food distribution warehouse located in Irving! The facility is temperature controlled due to the product in warehouse.

As a Maintenance Lead Technician at one of our biggest newest and most advanced warehouses you will play a key role in supporting the installation maintenance and troubleshooting of facilities infrastructure equipment. This position involves hands-on technical work to ensure optimal operation of machinery and critical building components a key role in contributing to the general pride in our workplace that we all share.

Qualifications for Maintenance Technicians:

After meeting all of PPS standard qualifications Candidate must meet below qualifications:

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

• Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance Technology Mechatronics Machine Tool Technology or a related field is highly preferred.

• Minimum of 2-5 years of maintenance experience.

• 5 years of experience within a specific discipline from electrical plumbing HVAC or structural maintenance is preferred.

• Strong background in troubleshooting and maintaining large infrastructure equipment and systems including HVAC and other building systems.

• Understanding of basic electrical designs.

• Ability to read and interpret building drawings including electrical plumbing HVAC and structural details.

• Strong computer skills (Outlook Excel Word PowerPoint) and the ability to learn and utilize maintenance software tools effectively.

• Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and familiarity with safety standards and procedures.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

• Highly organized.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.

• Willing to submit to a drug screening and background check.

Assignment Duties for Maintenance Technicians:

• Preventive and Predictive Maintenance: Perform routine maintenance tasks on all building system related equipment including HVAC systems compressed air chilled water etc. to prevent equipment breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.

• Troubleshooting and Repairs: Respond promptly and safely to equipment breakdowns diagnose problems and perform necessary repairs on machinery and equipment including Forklifts racking large motor and electrical systems hydraulic/pneumatic components HVAC equipment grounds systems etc

• Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate documentation of maintenance activities repairs and equipment performance. Utilize online services to track work orders and maintain maintenance records.

• Building Maintenance: Perform tasks specifically to ensure that the building its components and its systems are maintained including plumbing concrete repairs fire system testing and inspections etc.

• Grounds Maintenance: Perform tasks specifically to ensure the facility grounds are maintained including snow removal painting plumbing and electrical.

• Safety Compliance and Improvement: Promote a safety-first culture by following all safety programs and guidelines. Identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions to mitigate risks.

• Equipment Installation and Support: Assist in the installation and commissioning of new equipment and machinery providing support to varying teams during major projects and overhauls.

• Training and Mentorship: Provide guidance and training to less experienced team members on equipment operation and maintenance best practices.

• Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities for process enhancements.

• Standard Operating Procedures: Follow all Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Work Instructions ensuring compliance with department guidelines.

• Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with other departments including Inventory Control Operations and quality control to support overall warehouse operations and achieve performance goals.
