Maintenance Technician

Position Summary

Level three mechanics work under minimal supervision to perform turret/spindle alignments PM tasks such as trouble shoot lubrication system hydraulics bar feeders etc. trouble shoot controls issues etc. able to diagnose and repair most any NC mechanical issues; pull and replace ball screws hydraulic and pneumatic issues. The Hybrid Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled multi-craft professional responsible for performing advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting repair installation and preventive maintenance on CNC/NC machines production equipment and facility systems. This role operates with minimal supervision and serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Typically requires 610 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Must be of US person status to be in position.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair NC/CNC machine issues including turret/spindle alignment and ball screw replacement
• Troubleshoot and repair:
• Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and full equipment overhauls
• Maintain furnaces presses cranes forging equipment and blast systems
• Repair refractory linings and assist with specialized furnace components
• Inspect repair and maintain electrical systems on all plant equipment including:
• Troubleshoot and repair:
• Rewire and modify circuits (24V480V single & three-phase)
• Use testing equipment to diagnose voltage load grounding and faults
• Install and commission new machinery and equipment (mechanical and electrical)
• Perform electrical work for:
• Install conduit (EMT and rigid) wiring and mechanical components
• Read and interpret:
• Inspect equipment for wear damage and safety compliance
• Diagnose issues using sound vibration and performance data
• Test equipment post-repair to ensure proper operation
• Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent failures
• Maintain logs and documentation of equipment status and repairs
• Communicate with production teams to resolve issues
• Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
• Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
• Perform general facility repairs including:
• Support contractors during installations and major repairs

Required Skills:

• Strong knowledge of:
• Ability to read and interpret:

Experience using:

• Electrical test equipment (voltmeters amp meters etc.)
• Precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers)
• Welding cutting and fabrication tools
• Alignment and diagnostic tools
• Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues independently
• Apply math concepts including algebra geometry and measurements
• Work effectively with limited standardization

Preferred Skillset

• Multi-skilled in both mechanical AND electrical maintenance
• Strong experience in:
• Able to work:
• Background in heavy manufacturing forging or aerospace is highly preferred

Experience & Education

• 610 years of industrial maintenance experience
• Associate degree or technical training preferred
• Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience accepted
