Position Summary
Level three mechanics work under minimal supervision to perform turret/spindle alignments PM tasks such as trouble shoot lubrication system hydraulics bar feeders etc. trouble shoot controls issues etc. able to diagnose and repair most any NC mechanical issues; pull and replace ball screws hydraulic and pneumatic issues. The Hybrid Maintenance Technician is a highly skilled multi-craft professional responsible for performing advanced mechanical and electrical troubleshooting repair installation and preventive maintenance on CNC/NC machines production equipment and facility systems. This role operates with minimal supervision and serves as a technical subject matter expert (SME) in both mechanical and electrical disciplines. Typically requires 610 years of experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment. Must be of US person status to be in position.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities

- Diagnose and repair NC/CNC machine issues including turret/spindle alignment and ball screw replacement
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- Perform preventive maintenance (PM) and full equipment overhauls
- Maintain furnaces presses cranes forging equipment and blast systems
- Repair refractory linings and assist with specialized furnace components
- Inspect repair and maintain electrical systems on all plant equipment including:
- Troubleshoot and repair:
- Rewire and modify circuits (24V480V single & three-phase)
- Use testing equipment to diagnose voltage load grounding and faults
- Install and commission new machinery and equipment (mechanical and electrical)
- Perform electrical work for:
- Install conduit (EMT and rigid) wiring and mechanical components
- Read and interpret:
- Inspect equipment for wear damage and safety compliance
- Diagnose issues using sound vibration and performance data
- Test equipment post-repair to ensure proper operation
- Conduct routine inspections and maintenance to prevent failures
- Maintain logs and documentation of equipment status and repairs
- Communicate with production teams to resolve issues
- Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians
- Support continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
- Perform general facility repairs including:
- Support contractors during installations and major repairs
Required Skills:
- Strong knowledge of:
- Ability to read and interpret:
Experience using:
- Electrical test equipment (voltmeters amp meters etc.)
- Precision measuring tools (micrometers calipers)
- Welding cutting and fabrication tools
- Alignment and diagnostic tools
- Diagnose complex mechanical and electrical issues independently
- Apply math concepts including algebra geometry and measurements
- Work effectively with limited standardization
Preferred Skillset
- Multi-skilled in both mechanical AND electrical maintenance
- Strong experience in:
- Able to work:
- Background in heavy manufacturing forging or aerospace is highly preferred
Experience & Education
- 610 years of industrial maintenance experience
- Associate degree or technical training preferred
- Equivalent combination of education and hands-on experience accepted
