Job Summary

Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Mechanic / Industrial Maintenance Technician to support manufacturing operations through hands-on maintenance troubleshooting and repair of mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems. This role is critical to ensuring equipment reliability minimizing downtime and supporting safe efficient production.

The ideal candidate has strong experience in industrial maintenance including PLC-controlled systems VFDs motors pumps and gearboxes and is comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot repair and maintain industrial equipment including:
    • Electrical and electronic systems (motors controls power supplies)
    • Mechanical systems (gearboxes conveyors pumps)
    • Hydraulic and pneumatic systems
  • Diagnose and resolve equipment failures using schematics technical manuals and diagnostic tools
  • Work with and support PLC-controlled systems and variable frequency drives (VFDs)
  • Perform preventive maintenance (PMs) and ensure equipment reliability
  • Document all maintenance activities in the CMMS system (work orders parts used repair notes downtime tracking)
  • Support startup and shutdown procedures for production equipment
  • Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to resolve breakdowns quickly
  • Identify recurring issues and recommend corrective actions
  • Follow all safety food safety and regulatory compliance standards
  • Participate in safety meetings training and continuous improvement initiatives
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians when needed

Required Qualifications

  • 35 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience in manufacturing
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across:
    • Electrical/electronic systems
    • Mechanical systems
    • Hydraulic systems
    • Pneumatic systems
  • Experience working with PLCs and VFDs
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical diagrams
  • Experience using diagnostic instruments and testing tools
  • Working knowledge of CMMS/work order systems
  • Familiarity with machining tools fixtures and general shop operations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in food manufacturing beverage pharmaceutical or other regulated production environments
  • TIG and/or stick welding experience
  • Additional exposure to continuous or high-volume manufacturing environments (CPG packaging automotive etc.)

Shift Options (Onsite)

  • 1st Shift: 6:307:00 AM to 3:003:30 PM
  • 2nd Shift: 3:30 PM to 12:00 AM
  • 3rd Shift: 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM
    (Shift times may vary slightly)

Work Environment

  • Manufacturing plant environment with exposure to machinery and production systems
  • Requires hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting on the floor
  • Fast-paced environment with multiple simultaneous repair priorities
