Maintenance Technician I (The Historic Powhatan)

What will I be doing

As aMaintenance Technician Iyou would be responsible for performing your positions responsibilities in driving company success through performing the following tasks to the highest standards:

• Basic skills in drywall painting/staining and wall vinyl repairs plumbing skills including drain cleaning.
• Maintain all guestroom and public space equipment change filters replace caulk tile/grout door repair to include locking mechanisms and hinges.
• Unclog toilets and sinks touch up paint and glue peeling wallpaper.
• Complete planned scheduled preventative maintenance. Replace faulty plumbing components. Maintain accurate functioning of all equipment and tools.
• Establish a clear line of communication with the engineering leadership.
• Detailed record keeping in English is required for logs and inspection sheets. Assist other maintenance staff on special projects as directed by leadership; willing to pitch-in and help co- workers with their job duties and be an outstanding teammate.

What are we looking for

To fulfill this role successfully you must possess the following minimum qualifications and experience:

• Basic knowledge of plumbing electrical drywall painting and appliance repair.
• Good customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to respond to guest service calls and work orders.
• Willingness to learn HVAC appliance repair and preventive maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid drivers license.
• Basic English language communication in order to communicate with co-workers and fully comprehend job assignments.
• Ability to perform tasks requiring bending stooping and kneeling. Ability to push and pull objects or materials weighing up to 100 lbs.
• Ability to climb stairs and ladders working at heights up to approximately 40 feet for extended periods of time with the ability to reach often times overhead.
• Ability to wear fitted respirator. Ability to grasp lift or carry items weighing up to 50 lbs. occasionally waist high.

It would be advantageous in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:

• Able to pass CPO certification with 180 days of hire.
• Valid Drivers License
