Maintenance Technician I, Landscaper

• High school graduate or equivalent
• Experience in landscaping groundskeeping or outdoor maintenance preferred
• Ability to work professionally with the public and other employees
• Valid drivers license

The Temporary PartTime Landscaper supports the upkeep appearance and safety of the Ocean Beach Health grounds. This role focuses on landscaping tasks such as mowing trimming weeding planting debris removal and seasonal grounds projects. The ideal candidate works independently follows written instructions and takes pride in maintaining clean safe and welcoming outdoor spaces for patients visitors and staff.

• Maintain hospital and clinic grounds in a clean safe and attractive condition
• Operate landscaping equipment such as mowers trimmers blowers and hand tools
• Perform routine grounds tasks including mowing edging pruning weeding mulching and debris removal
• Support seasonal projects such as planting storm cleanup and irrigation checks
• Monitor outdoor areas for hazards and report issues promptly
• Assist with light outdoor maintenance tasks as assigned by the Facilities Manager
• Follow daily task sheets and complete work with initiative and attention to detail
• Maintain a neat professional appearance in accordance with hospital policy
• Contribute to a culture of PatientCentered Care and a safe work environment
• Demonstrate commitment to the team and support coworkers as needed
• Maintain practices of financial stewardship
• Regular and punctual attendance is required
• Must be able to respond to urgent grounds needs (e.g. storm debris safety hazards)
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Manager or designee

• Keep the Facilities Manager informed of daily activities and any issues observed
• Display selfinitiative by identifying and completing tasks not explicitly listed
• Interact with the public and fellow employees in a dignified sincere and professional manner
• Follow OBHs EPIC core values in all work performed
