Key Responsibilities:
- Comply with all Bethany Community Services Policies and Procedures including safety standards and operational guidelines.
- Promote and implement safe work practices among on-site staff and ensure a safe working environment.
- Assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the property including buildings facilities and grounds both indoor and outdoor.
- Follow specific departmental policies and procedures as instructed by supervisors.
- Diagnose and repair issues across various systems and areas including HVAC electrical plumbing major appliances carpentry emergency systems flooring hardware accessories masonry painting/wallpaper and water features such as pools and spas.
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify potential issues before they escalate.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs performed.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to prioritize tasks and ensure timely completion of maintenance requests.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Proven experience in building maintenance repair or a related field.
- Knowledge of HVAC electrical plumbing carpentry and general repair techniques.
- Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot a wide range of maintenance issues.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and procedures.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Good communication skills and the ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Physical ability to perform manual tasks including lifting climbing and working in various environmental conditions.

PREPARATION KNOWLEDGE SKILLS & ABILITIES
- High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
- A valid drivers license and a clean driving record are required.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
- Ability to read write and communicate in English is required.
- The ability to lift 50 pounds or more on occasion may be required.
- This position may require standing sitting or kneeling for long periods of time and occasionally require working in hard-to-reach are.
