Basic Job Functions:
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
- Properly follow company and OSHA safety procedures.
- Maintain and repair all equipment including but not limited to conveyor and hydraulic systems bearings gear boxes motors shredder eddy current baler etc.
- Change liners grates hammers etc.
- Work in outdoor and indoor environments.
- Minor cleanup and other duties as assigned
- Assist other maintenance and production personnel during scheduled repair projects
Minimum Qualifications:
- 1-year previous maintenance/welding experience preferred.
- Ability to understand and carry out written and oral instructions.
- Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
- Flexible working overtimein an industrial environment which includes being outdoors in all weather conditions.
- Ability to work standing or walking for up to 10 hours per day.
