Maintenance Technician

Responsibilities

• Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery electrical systems and building infrastructure to minimize downtime.
• Troubleshoot mechanical electrical and plumbing issues using schematics technical manuals and diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters.
• Repair or replace faulty components including motors belts wiring switches and valves with precision and safety in mind.
• Operate programmable logic controllers (PLCs) to troubleshoot automation systems and ensure optimal performance.
• Conduct welding repairs on metal structures or equipment as needed to maintain safety and functionality.
• Read and interpret schematics blueprints and technical diagrams to accurately diagnose problems and execute repairs.
• Supervise or assist in facilities maintenance tasks such as painting carpentry or general cleaning to support a safe working environment.
• Utilize Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) to document work orders track maintenance history and schedule future tasks.
• Lead or support team members in maintenance projects while promoting a culture of safety quality and continuous improvement.

Skills

• Strong electrical experience with the ability to troubleshoot wiring systems using tools like ohmmeters.
• Mechanical knowledge of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
• Proficiency with schematics technical manuals and PLC programming for automation troubleshooting.
• Skilled in welding techniques for repair or fabrication tasks.
• Experience with facilities maintenance including residential painting or general building upkeep.
• Supervising experience in maintenance teams or projects with leadership capabilities.
• Excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and internal clients.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for work order management and record keeping.
• Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical diagrams accurately.
• Competence in using diagnostic tools such as ohmmeters for electrical troubleshooting.
• Strong command of English for clear communication across teams and documentation purposes.
