Maintenance Technician 2nd Shift

This role is responsible for troubleshooting repairing maintaining and improving production equipment with a primary focus on injection molding machines and related auxiliary systems. The ideal candidate will possess strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills and thrive in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

• Troubleshoot and repair injection molding machines auxiliary equipment and manufacturing support systems.

• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime and reliability.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical electrical hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Support mold changeovers and equipment setup activities as needed.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics blueprints manuals and technical drawings.
• Troubleshoot motors drives sensors conveyors pumps and automated production equipment.
• Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring equipment failures.
• Complete maintenance work orders and documentation accurately within the maintenance management system.
• Partner with production engineering and quality teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Assist with equipment installations upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines to maximize equipment reliability uptime and operational efficiency.
• Maintain a safe work environment and comply with all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Technical training apprenticeship or vocational education in maintenance-related disciplines preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Experience maintaining and troubleshooting injection molding equipment strongly preferred.
• Experience with hydraulic pneumatic electrical and mechanical systems.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Basic computer skills required.

Preferred Skills

• Experience supporting injection molding machines
• Knowledge of mold cooling systems resin handling systems dryers and auxiliary equipment.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand walk bend reach and lift up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work around moving manufacturing equipment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed to support production requirements. #LI-Onsite
