Job Summary
New Day Inc. is seeking a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician II / Groundskeeper to ensure the upkeep safety and functionality of our facilities and grounds. This hands-on role includes maintenance of lodges offices ranch property & equipment and vehiclesperforming tasks such as HVAC electrical boiler painting drywall repair landscaping snow removal and general upkeep.
Facility Maintenance:
Respond to and complete maintenance work orders promptly
Document and submit completed work to supervisor
Perform repairs and renovation tasks: painting drywall flooring and trim
Perform basic electrical work plumbing HVAC and boiler maintenance and repair
Maintain fire extinguishers and first aid kits
Keep workspaces and tools organized and safe
Assemble repair and relocate office furniture
Conduct preventive maintenance on equipment and appliances including HVAC plumbing electrical boiler work among other items
Perform basic vehicle maintenance (e.g. oil changes refueling)
Groundskeeping & Equipment Operation:
Mow lawns trim trees remove weeds and maintain landscaping
Ensure safe access via sidewalks parking areas and roads
Remove snow and repair fences at Coburn Ranch
Operate & maintain riding mowers skid steers snowplows power tools and other equipment
Other:
Perform additional duties as assigned by supervisor or administration
Education: High school diploma or equivalent required
Experience: Three (3) years previous maintenance experience preferred
Must be at least 21 years old (insurance requirement)
Valid Montana drivers license with an insurable driving record
Boiler certification preferred
Must maintain current certifications in the following. Training is provided by New Day Inc.:
Non-violent Crisis Intervention (CPI)
CPR and First Aid
Language:
Ability to read and interpret documents and instructions
Respond effectively to inquiries and communicate clearly
Mathematics:
Ability to add subtract multiply divide and understand percentages and graphs
Reasoning:
Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities
Regular activities include standing walking sitting and talking/hearing
Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs.) climbing kneeling and crawling
Visual requirements include close distance and peripheral vision
Must be able to perform non-injurious physical interventions if needed
Moderate noise levels
Outdoor work in varied weather conditions
Smoke-free environment
