Maintenance Team Lead

The opportunity:

Hitachi Energy located in Alamo TN is seeking an Electro-mechanical Repair Lead to join its this position you will follow safety and work procedures to perform/Oversee preventative maintenance routine mechanical and/or electrical repairs on production and processing equipment. The selected candidate will perform/oversee troubleshooting equipment malfunctions and replace electrical and/or mechanical components as necessary to ensure maximum uptime and customer satisfaction is achieved. Modify equipment as assigned by the planner/scheduler to support a continuous improvement culture.

How youll make an impact:

  • Observe and follow all safety rules and procedures including Lock-Out-Tag-Out

  • Provide/Assist unscheduled repairs of production equipment.

  • Work with the engineering department to ensure the plant is running efficiently.

  • Install troubleshoot repair and maintain production machines and plant equipment.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on machines Updating the PM program as needed to better support customer satisfaction.

  • Work with the planner/Scheduler to ensure the team is up to date and current on assigned PMs Assist where needed to ensure machine reliability.

  • Must be able to communicate effectively and constructively in a team environment.

  • Must be able to read/follow blueprints wiring diagrams schematic drawings and technical manuals.

  • Working knowledge of 24v - 480V equipment how to safely troubleshoot diagnose and repair.

  • Troubleshoot/repair systems or equipment including hydraulic systems transformers motors DC circuitry PLCs variable frequency drives relays switches position sensing devices and printed circuit boards

  • Monitor and document observations settings readings meters gauges as needed.

  • Proficient in using common electrical/mechanical devices. Ex. multi-meter amp-probe megger calipers micrometers dial indicator.

  • Perform simple machinist duties and responsibilities as needed.

  • Perform a variety of plumbing maintenance and carpentry functions.

  • Basic welding and cutting including acetylene torch plasma stick tig and brazing.

  • Secure and complete required department work order documentation Ex. Confined space Hot work permits etc.

  • Record all work timely in a CMMS software.

  • Responsible for housekeeping in his/her work area.

  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the planner/scheduler.

Your Background:

  • Associates degree in an engineering discipline or industrial maintenance/electrician certificate from an accredited trade school.

  • Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
