This plant produces granules for our shingle plants in a high speed continuous asphalt shingle manufacturing process environment

Job Summary

The Maintenance Supervisoris responsible forthe safe maintenance repair or replacement of plant equipment and systems to ensure maximum production quantity and quality while supporting the policies goals andobjectivesof the company. This role oversees andparticipatesin the daily execution of plant maintenance activities managing the maintenance program based on industry best practices with a focus on planning scheduling and preventive/predictive maintenance. This position is instrumental in the shift toward a TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) culture across maintenance and operations.This position willreportto the Maintenance Manager on site at our Bismarck Missouri location.

Job Responsibilities

• Lead a positive change effort to improved performance by motivating recognizing and inspiring others to be effective and efficient in their activities

• Maintaina high levelof awareness on safety environmental and process compliance

• Champion hazard identificationevaluationand control through thebehavior-basedsafety and risk assessment programs and lead and direct all maintenance operations for the duration of your shift

• Increase employee engagement and improve thelaborrelations climate through participation in continuous improvement (get suggestions report problems participate in team problem solving sessions) and drive accountability for both results and actions of direct reports through education motivation documentation andbehavior-basedcoaching and increase operator involvement in maintenance

• Participate in Root cause analysis (5 why fishboneetc.) with team membersmaintenanceand engineering

• Continually improve the operational efficiency of the plant and work with and support other department goals

• Ensure proper documentation and complete reports (compliance checklists production reports spreadsheets metrics incident investigationsetc.)

• Facilitate effective meetings and team discussions

• Effectively communicate with all levels both internal and external to the organization

• Job training with STD work description SOP and WI

• Safety training STOP. FLRA and all others safety programs

• Resolve any conflictimmediatelyand assure that behavior is in line with IKO values ask for help if needed

• Ensure a rigorous follow-up of all 5S

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree/diploma preferably in industrial technology or engineering business administration or management

• Minimum of 3 years industrial leadership experience (Crushing or Mining experience a definite asset)

• Ability to work shift workas needed

• Highly developed interpersonal leadership coaching mentoring delegation and people management skills and excellent facilitationtimeand project management organizationalanalyticalanddecision-makingskills

• Experience with process safety management and creating a culture where all accidents are preventable

• Proven ability to build morale and continually improve the performance of the team

• Drive to influence positive change with continuous improvement activities in the areas of safetyqualityand productivity

• Exhibits values of integrity respect for others teamworkcollaborationand accountability

• Demonstrated initiative and proven record of taking on projects in a proactive manner to reach strategic outcomes

• Familiarity with regulatory requirements (MSHA environmentlaborstandards)

• Established PC & software skills in Microsoft Office applications(Maximo knowledge is a plus)
