Job Summary
- Support installing servicing and repairing mechanical equipment. Support activities related to the maintenance repair and service of plant equipment buildings and facilities
- Plan organize and direct the manufacturingand maintenance operations toensure the mosteffective return on assets
- Initiateplans and processestominimize manufacturing costs through effective utilization ofmanpower equipment facilities materialsand capital
- Utilizes working knowledge of electrical systems both control and industrial wiring pip fitting plumbing welding shop machinery sheet metal hydraulics pneumatics electrical controls and instrumentation to maintain plant equipment at optimal level.
- Utilizes knowledge of automatic equipment operation to include setup repair and tear downin order to maintain plant equipment at optimal levels inspecting completed work for conformance to blueprints specifications and standards.
- Maintain the plant Preventative Maintenance Records.
- Send out maintenance schedules on a weekly basis
- Responsiblefor all physical plant facilities systemsand equipment
- Identify and monitor issues as theyarise and implement solutions
- Participate in the ongoingsupport of theProcessing Operating System
- Ensure safety compliance forbuildings equipment and staff
- Interprets company policy and enforces company policy and practices.
- Analyzes and resolves work problems or assists in solving work problems.
- Maintains production equipment in a manner that meets organization standards and ensures minimum equipment downtime. Requisitions tools equipment and supplies.
- Must be certified in refrigeration.
- Welding and fabrication experience required.
- Minimum 5 years maintenance experience preferablyin a food processing plant butexperience ina highly regulated large industrialor manufacturing environment will be considered
- Extensive experience maintaining & managing building services/systems using contractors & staff
- Experience with quality improvement and riskmanagement processes an asset
- High School Diploma/GED equivalent required; college degree preferred
- As a salaried position with the company you may be required to travel at some point to other facilities to attend Company events or as a representative of the Company in other situations. Unless otherwise specified in this posting the amount of travel may vary and the most qualified candidate must be willing and able to travel as business needs dictate.
