Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading and coordinating all maintenance activities to ensure the safe efficient and reliable operation of manufacturing equipment facilities utilities and support systems. This position supervises maintenance personnel manages preventive and predictive maintenance programs coordinates repairs and capital improvement projects and drives continuous improvement initiatives that improve equipment uptime safety quality and productivity.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Directly supervises maintenance technicians and maintenance support personnel.
Plans schedules and assigns daily maintenance activities to optimize labor resources.
Provides coaching training performance management and employee development.
Conducts employee evaluations and addresses performance concerns when necessary.
Ensures compliance with company policies safety procedures and regulatory requirements.
Coordinates contractor activities and oversees vendor performance.
Promote teamwork and cross-functional collaboration throughout the facility.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Manage all plant maintenance activities including preventive predictive corrective and emergency maintenance.
Develop and maintain preventive maintenance schedules for production equipment facility systems and utilities.
Lead troubleshooting efforts for mechanical electrical hydraulic pneumatic and CNC equipment.
Monitor equipment performance and identify opportunities to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
Coordinate maintenance activities to support production schedules and customer delivery requirements.
Manage maintenance work orders and equipment records within the computerized maintenance management system (CMMS).
Ensure proper inventory levels of maintenance spare parts tools and supplies.
Develop monitor and manage departmental budgets and expenses.
Lead facility improvement projects equipment installations machine relocations and capital projects.
Coordinate outside contractors and service providers to ensure work is completed safely and effectively.
Investigate equipment failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
Collaborate with Engineering and Manufacturing teams on process improvements and equipment upgrades.
Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations environmental requirements and company safety policies.
Maintain accurate maintenance records reports and performance metrics.
Support root cause analysis lean manufacturing initiatives and continuous improvement activities.
Establish maintenance KPIs including equipment uptime MTBF MTTR and preventive maintenance completion rates.
Education and Experience:
5 years of industrial maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
2 years of supervisory or leadership experience preferred.
Experience supporting CNC machining equipment automated manufacturing systems and facility infrastructure.
Experience with preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
Associate degree in Industrial Maintenance Electrical Technology Mechanical Engineering Technology or related field preferred.
Equivalent combination of education and experience considered.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Strong leadership and employee development skills.
Ability to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical systems.
Working knowledge of hydraulics pneumatics controls motors drives and CNC equipment.
Experience with CMMS systems and maintenance planning.
Ability to read blueprints schematics and technical drawings.
Strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
Knowledge of OSHA and workplace safety requirements.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications.
Physical Requirements:
Frequent standing walking climbing and lifting.
Ability to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds.
Ability to work around manufacturing equipment and in varying environmental conditions.
Availability to respond to equipment emergencies outside normal working hours when .
