Maria Joseph Continuing Care Community is seeking a dedicated and experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team and help ensure a safe comfortable and well-maintained environment for our residents staff and visitors.
This position oversees maintenance operations across our campus including Emmanuel Nursing Center Maria Joseph Manor Nazareth and The Meadows. The Maintenance Supervisor assists in planning directing and coordinating preventative and corrective maintenance programs while supporting the overall mission and values of our organization.
Essential Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate maintenance department operations
- Develop and maintain preventative maintenance schedules
- Assign and oversee maintenance projects and repairs
- Conduct quality checks to ensure work meets established standards
- Assist with campus safety fire and security operations
- Perform minor electrical plumbing HVAC and general maintenance repairs
- Maintain department records reports and documentation
- Assist with budget planning and equipment procurement
- Coordinate snow removal and grounds maintenance
- Support environmental services and housekeeping operations as needed
- Coach mentor and evaluate maintenance staff
- Assist with transportation services when necessary
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Maintenance experience
- Previous supervisory experience preferred
- Knowledge of electrical plumbing refrigeration and general maintenance systems
- Experience using hand and power tools
- Valid Pennsylvania drivers license with acceptable driving record
- Strong organizational communication and leadership skills
- Basic computer proficiency
- Ability to work independently and maintain confidentiality
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
