Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Specialist to support the repair troubleshooting and preventive maintenance of manufacturing equipment and facility systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Troubleshoot electrical mechanical pneumatic hydraulic electronic and automation issues.
- Perform complex preventive and predictive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
- Diagnose and resolve PLC issues and electrical/electronic control problems.
- Repair rebuild or fabricate equipment components as needed.
- Perform major building electrical construction and security equipment repairs.
- Read and interpret electronic schematics with minimal assistance.
- Perform minor repairs to electronic circuit boards and control panels.
- Document maintenance and repair activities clearly for future reference.
- Follow all safety requirements and OSHA standards.
- Operate forklifts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least 5 years of manufacturing maintenance experience.
- Strong knowledge of electrical mechanical pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
- Understanding of PLC ladder logic and text-based control systems.
- Intermediate to advanced ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to follow safety rules operating instructions and maintenance procedures.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to prioritize work orders to reduce production downtime.
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office and ERP systems.
Preferred Credentials
- PLC Technician Certificate preferred.
- Forklift certification preferred.
Work Environment
- Facility includes approximately 75100 machines across about 10 equipment types.
- Equipment includes slitters cutters presses heat presses laminators rotary machines and cookie-cutter machines.
- Experience maintaining older equipment is important.
- Strong electrical and PLC knowledge is required.
- PLC programming experience is not required.
- The facility produces value-added products rather than metal parts including battery covers and noise-reduction materials.
