Maintenance, Repair, and Sustainability Coordinator II

Performs a variety of tasks in the installation repair and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment. Occasionally asked to assist in job functions outside of this purview.

Install and repair electrical wiring fixtures panels circuit breakers and other apparatus. Plan new or renovated existing installations to minimize waste of materials provide access for future maintenance and avoid unsightly hazardous and unreliable wiring. Install conduit wire and devices such as receptacles switches light fixtures and other electrical apparatus. Test continuity of circuits to ensure electrical continuity and safety of components using test instruments. Work on electrical circuits carrying 600v or less. Inspect and test commercial machinery control equipment and systems; following blueprints and wiring schematics. Examine wiring for loose or faulty connections. Repairs electrical motors controllers and starters. Work with outside vendors to maintain elevators and perform periodic checks. Work with special events and athletic personnel to ensure uninterrupted electrical service. Operate equipment such as scissor lifts articulating boom lifts large trucks trailer towing scaffold construction and work and any other equipment typical with electrical installation and maintenance. Must be comfortable working at heights up to 125ft and knowledgeable as to how to do so safely.

Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Must be able to lift heavy items up to 100 pounds and carry ladders. Must be able to walk often and at a considerable length. Must be able to climb stairs regularly.

Typical hours are Monday through Friday 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Occasional overtime required. Adjusted work schedule may or may not be available upon request.

Other duties as assigned.

Salary:

Level S2 Grade 7.

High school diploma or equivalent with two years of related professional possess and maintain a valid drivers license. Ability to learn and willingness to be taught. Good attitude in a team environment.

TN State electrical license. Completion of electrical apprenticeship program. Work experience in a variety of electrical and related fields. Reads and interprets blueprints drawings and schematics. Experience in industrial/commercial electrical work. Basic knowledge of electrical diagnostic equipment. Familiarity with elevator and/or generator controls. Knowledge of work experience involving or certification for low voltage/data installation and troubleshooting. Knowledge of work experience involving and/or certification for fire alarm installation and troubleshooting. Working knowledge of Telecommunication/IT installation and operation.
