The Maintenance Planner plays a critical role in maximizing equipment reliability uptime and overall equipment effectiveness (OEE) across the facility. This position is responsible for developing and managing preventive and predictive maintenance programs optimizing maintenance workflows and ensuring the right parts resources and schedules are in place to support plant operations. Working closely with maintenance operations and vendor partners the Maintenance Planner & Scheduler drives continuous improvement in maintenance planning processes while supporting a safe and efficient manufacturing environment.
- Develop schedule and manage preventive and predictive maintenance programs to improve equipment reliability and minimize downtime.
- Maintain equipment records parts inventory and spare parts databases while implementing and managing vendor-managed inventory systems.
- Create and maintain maintenance procedures workflows job plans and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to improve maintenance execution.
- Partner with vendors and suppliers to ensure competitive pricing timely parts availability and effective inventory management.
- Support facility safety initiatives and drive continuous improvement efforts focused on maintenance efficiency reliability and OEE performance.
This role will be onsite with a Monday-Friday day shift schedule.
Required
- High School Diploma or GED required; additional technical training preferred.
- 3 years of experience in industrial maintenance planning maintenance supervision reliability or a related manufacturing maintenance role.
- Experience developing maintenance procedures workflows and SOPs along with strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance programs.
- Proficiency with CMMS software and Microsoft Office applications with strong organizational communication and problem-solving skills.
Preferred
- Experience in wood products manufacturing cooperage or other heavy industrial environments.
- Technical degree skilled trades certification or equivalent maintenance experience.
- Knowledge of Reliability-Centered Maintenance (RCM) Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) Lean Manufacturing principles and experience improving maintenance planning systems and processes.
