This includes planned and unplanned maintenance on equipment physical structures electrical and process and utility systems.You willalso rundiagnostic tests on malfunctioning equipment and perform repairs and preventive/predictive maintenance activities in all areas oftheplant.

HowYoullMake an Impact:

• Ensure operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing planned and unplanned maintenance requirements on utility systems and production and processing equipment. Ensure utility systems provide continuous supply of heat steam cooling electric power gas or airfor operations.Optimizeuptime and minimize downtime for production and processing equipment.
• Follow diagrams sketches operations manualsmanufacturerinstructionsand engineering specifications.
• Locate sources of problems byobservingmechanical devices in operation listeningforproblems and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
• Troubleshootinstalland repair electrical apparatus such as transformers VFDs wiring and electrical and electronic components of machinery and equipment including basic PLC control systems.
• Remove defective parts by dismantlingdevices;using hoists cranes and hand and power tools; examining form and texture of parts.Determinechanges in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts; using rules calipers micrometers and other measuring instruments.
• Use analytical instruments including multi meters measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers power and hand tools welding and fabrication equipment and office equipment such as computers printers fax machines and copiers.
• Provide related technical guidance andexpertise.Assistand coach Maintenance Operations and QA associates on an ongoing basis.
• Maintain continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions irregularities and continuing needs.Closework orders in CMMS while writing technical summaries and descriptions and detailing work performed for permanent record keeping.
• Complywiththe following initiatives: Maintenance Excellence 5S Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) Process Safety Management (PSM).
• ComplywithNational State local building/mechanical/electricalcodes;safety codes OSHAregulations;firecodes;companys and customerspolicies procedures and standards.
• Perform other duties as assigned

Position Details:

• Location: Greensboro NC
• Work Week and Shift: Monday - Friday 8:00 pm - 6:00 am OR 6:00 pm - 4:00 am
• Compensation:$32.00 / hour or higher depending on experience $1.50 / hour shift differential

Minimum Qualifications:

• High SchoolDiploma or equivalent
• 5 years of industrial troubleshootingmaintenanceand repair experience on highly technical precision equipment
• 2 years of experience with electronic and PLC based applications in an industrial environment
• No Immigration Sponsorship available for thisrole

Preferred Qualifications:

• Associates degree in applicable technical discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Expertisein electrical electrical controls mechanical pneumatics and hydraulics
• Knowledge of plant utility systems including compressed air
• Previousexperience with industrial motor controls (Servo and VFD)
• Working knowledge of National State Local building codesOSHAand standard industry safety rules/regulations
• Working knowledge of or ability to learn CMMS and Microsoft Office Suite
• Mechanical experience in a chemical plant
• Experience working with pumps welding bearings electrical safety forklifts gears hydraulics valves and rigging
• Formal vocational training in an industrial engineering discipline
• Strong attention to detail and communication skills
• Experience working in a TPM environment
• Read and follow instructions
• Track safety quality and productivity data
• Experience working in a Lean manufacturing environment

Physical Requirements of Position:

• Lifting pushing pulling and carrying up to 50 pounds chest high
• Kneeling bending squatting pushing pulling and reachingabove and below waist level
• Working in a chemical processing plant with variable temperatures odors noise levels elevated heights and/or confined spaces.
