This position is responsible for troubleshooting repairing and maintaining manufacturing equipment while supporting continuous production and minimizing downtime. The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical aptitude problem-solving skills and experience working with industrial equipment and tools.

Role Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining the proper operation of manufacturing equipment and machinery to support production goals. This position diagnoses mechanical and operational issues using testing instruments and troubleshooting methods performs repairs and helps prevent equipment downtime. The Maintenance Mechanic operates and works around equipment including forklifts hoists cranes air compressors and power tools while ensuring all maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently. The role requires interpreting blueprints performing basic mathematical calculations and supporting a safe and productive manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to locate and diagnose equipment problems using testing instruments and troubleshooting techniques
• Experience maintaining and repairing manufacturing equipment and machinery
• Experience operating forklifts hoists cranes air compressors and power tools
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
• Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
• Ability to safely use hand tools power tools and testing equipment
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to prioritize maintenance tasks and respond to equipment issues in a timely manner
