Maintenance Mechanic

Mozaic Senior Life is seeking a dependable skilled and hands-on Maintenance Mechanic to join our Facilities team. This position is responsible for maintaining our buildings equipment grounds and mechanical systems while helping ensure a safe comfortable and well-maintained environment for our residents visitors and staff.

The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work can troubleshoot problems independently respond well to changing priorities and enjoys working as part of a team.

Reports To: Facilities Supervisor and Director of Facility Services

Schedule: MondayFriday 7:00 AM3:00 PM

Hours: 37.5 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections of buildings equipment systems and grounds to identify maintenance needs and potential safety concerns.
• Perform preventative maintenance to help keep equipment and facilities operating safely and efficiently.
• Complete general repairs and maintenance involving buildings equipment machinery fixtures and other facility systems.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical and maintenance issues and determine appropriate repairs.
• Respond to maintenance work orders and complete assigned work safely efficiently and within established timeframes.
• Perform repairs to machines equipment structures and other facility components as needed.
• Assist with emergency situations including fire and life-safety procedures facility emergencies and on-call services.
• Assist with snow and ice removal during winter weather including operating snowplows spreaders and other snow-removal equipment.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple requests and meet deadlines.
• Ability to work independently while also functioning effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to respond appropriately to emergencies and changing conditions.
• Willingness and ability to learn new equipment and procedures.
• Ability to safely perform physical work including lifting climbing ladders standing walking bending and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
