Job Summary
River Hospitals Plant Operations team is seeking a full-time Maintenance Mechanic.
JOB SUMMARY
Knowledge of repairing and maintaining all equipment associated with daily operations of physical plant. Employee maintains the Hospital buildings in livable and workable conditions relative to heat light power air-conditioning and other broad environmental factors. Repairs constructs the Hospitals physical plant and its contents up to and including major additions to the size of the plant. Performs a variety of general mechanical and preventative maintenance as well as inspections servicing repair and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the hospital. The employee generally performs work in shop area and hospital interior and exterior in all weather.
Employee subject to 24 hour call in the event of an emergency. Occasional evening or night shifts are required. Rotational call schedule required.

EDUCATION EXPERIENCE CERTIFICATION LICENSURE:
- High school education or equivalent License or Certification from a Trade Vocational school preferred.
- 3-5 years of progressively complex experience in several of the maintenancetrades required
- New York State Drivers license required.
- Basic Computer Knowledge
- Near Visual Acuity for reading blue-prints and specifications
