Maintenance Manager

HSS is seeking a Maintenance Manager for our client located in the Ocean City MD area.

We are seeking an experienced Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering and maintenance operations for a resort property. This role is responsible for maintaining the building grounds mechanical systems and overall physical plant to ensure a safe efficient and exceptional guest experience. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical expertise leadership skills and experience managing preventative maintenance and capital improvement projects within a hotel or resort environment.

• Oversee all engineering and maintenance operations across the property
• Maintain HVAC refrigeration plumbing electrical water treatment and life safety systems
• Develop and manage preventative maintenance programs and schedules
• Ensure compliance with safety standards regulatory requirements and brand standards
• Manage maintenance budgets departmental expenses and capital projects
• Inspect facilities and determine repair replacement and renovation needs
• Coordinate with vendors contractors and suppliers on repair projects and services
• Supervise and support engineering staff in daily operations and repairs
• Maintain accurate logs records and maintenance documentation
• Ensure building exterior grounds and curb appeal standards are maintained
• Handle guest maintenance concerns and resolve issues promptly
• Recruit train coach and develop maintenance team members
• Conduct departmental meetings and maintain clear communication with staff
• Foster a safe clean and organized work environment
• Support hotel emergency preparedness and life safety initiatives

• Minimum 3-5 years of maintenance leadership experience in hospitality or resort operations
• Strong technical knowledge of HVAC plumbing electrical refrigeration and mechanical systems
• Experience managing preventative maintenance and capital projects
• Excellent leadership communication and organizational skills
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve operational issues efficiently
• Experience managing budgets and departmental expenses
• Ability to work flexible schedules including weekends and holidays
• Physical ability to lift equipment use ladders/lifts and work throughout the property as needed
• Strong commitment to guest service and operational excellence

The pay range for this position is $85000-$95000 and based on experience.

Additional compensation may include discretionary bonus opportunities.
