STATEMENTOFTHEJOB:
UnderthedirectionoftheDepartmentSupervisor this positionwillberesponsiblefortheoverall
performanceof anassignedarea.Thelinetechis primarilyconcernedwithoperationanddirectionofemployees insuch areas as changeover start-up continuous operation and shutdown of the process.The linetech should be able tooperateadjusttroubleshootcleanandrepair allequipmentintheassignedarea.Thelinetechmonitorsalloperationsin theareatoinsurethataqualityproductisproducedatmaximumeffectivenessunderthegivenstandards.TheLineTechis responsible forthe cleaning of all equipment as assigned.The LineTech isfrequentlyrequired to work overtime as directed by production needs.

This isatemporary12monthposition.LineTechApprenticeswillwork onthejobaswellasatMoraine ParkCollegetolearn the skills to become a Line Tech. Line Tech Apprentices will be required to complete all coursework and demonstrate learnings from coursework as wellas maintainat leasta C gradeaverageatMoraine ParkCollege.
Training willbeprimarily onfirstshiftMondaythruFridaybutthepositionisflexand trainingmayalsobeontheoffshiftstolearnlineshutdowns sanitationstart ups change overs general2 days per week will be spent at Moraine Park College and 3 days will be spent at Kraft Heinz.CandidateswillbeexpectedtoreporttoMoraine ParkCollegeatthedesignatedtimeandplace.Kraft HeinzBeaver Dampolicies including attendance rules will applyboth at Kraft HeinzandMoraine ParkCollege.

Operationofequipmenttooptimizequalityandproductivityadjustmentschangeoverseetroubleshootingandrepairs. Make routine repairs and on-line adjustments
Makeathoroughdailyinspectionofequipmentinassignedarea..
Suggestandassistinmodificationstomachinesmethodsorprocesseswhichwillresultinthesafesthighestquality highesteffectivenessand lowest cost production.
Preventativemaintenancedevelopingupdatingandexecutingtheprocess. Equipment overhaulmodificationsand installations
Continuousimprovement throughinnovation.
Ensureallproducts beingproducedmeetqualityspecifications.
Monitoralloperationsoftheprocessonacontinuousbasistomaximizeproductionminimizedowntimeandtoinsurethat a quality product is produced in a safe manner.
Executionofbasicequipmentmaintenancecleaninginspectionlubricatingandadjusting. Exhibits safe work habits and encouragesotherto work safely.
Performssanitation andassurescompliance withsanitation standards.

EQUIPMENTOPERATED:
Mustbeabletooperateallequipmentnecessaryforproduction.
RESPONSIBILITYOFEQUIPMENT OPERATED:
The line tech must knowhowto run each piece of equipment and to troubleshoot anyslowdown/interruption on the productionlineforanyreason.TheLineTechisresponsiblefortheoverallperformanceoftheequipmentintheassignedarea.
VALUEOFMATERIAL:
Probable loss of material due to machine malfunction is usuallylessthen$500.However where weight control responsibilitiesareinvolvedand/ortheresponsibilitytominimizequalityrejectssubstantiallossescanresultfrom improper attention.
LIFTINGREQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift up to 50lbs.
WORKINGCONDITIONS:
Workingconditionsvarywithproductionline.Certainworkstationsareintemperaturecontrolledareaswhileothersare in areas where temperatures may range from40-90degrees F.
TRAININGANDEXPERIENCE:
Thelinetechwillbeatraininglinetechwhichmeanstrainingwillbeongoingthroughoutthetimeinthepositionbutthe personawardedwillbeassignedtoanareaandmayworkindependentlyascapabilitiesimprove.Candidatesmustpass the line tech test and will be interviewed to select candidates.
Theapprenticeprogramisa12monthprogram.Theemployeewillreceiveclassroomandhandsontrainingthroughout the year and will be expected to become a Line Tech if an opening is available. At the successful completion of theapprenticeshipthecandidatewillbeallowedtobidonanopenposition.Theshiftwillbebasedondepartmentneedsat the time of posting.
