SUMMARY

The Maintenance Technician ensures reliable operation of production and facility systems by performing preventive predictive and corrective maintenance while maintaining accurate CMMS records. The role supports shiftlevel leadership by helping prioritize work assisting mechanics and ensuring all maintenance activities follow OSHA and EHS requirements ISO standards and company safety procedures to maintain a safe compliant and efficient manufacturing environment.

ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES

  • Provide shiftlevel leadership by assisting in prioritizing breakdowns PMs and maintenance activities across the plant.
  • Assign PMs routine tasks and small projects as needed to support workflow efficiency.
  • Support mechanics through coaching troubleshooting guidance and identification of training needs.
  • Lead preshift and postshift maintenance meetings and communicate work priorities and equipment status.
  • Coordinate work with internal teams contractors and vendors to ensure tasks are completed safely and efficiently.
  • Perform preventive predictive and corrective maintenance on mechanical electrical pneumatic HVAC and automated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues using rootcause analysis and assist with commissioning testing and verification of new or modified equipment.
  • Conduct PM audits to verify compliance with maintenance standards and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Ensure environmental monitoring systems (pressure temperature particle counters) are functioning correctly.
  • Follow and enforce OSHA EHS ISO and company safety procedures including Lockout/Tagout PPE use chemical handling and hazardcommunication requirements.
  • Ensure all maintenance tasks adhere to Standard Operating Procedures and Work Instructions.
  • Promote safe work practices and ensure hazards are identified and addressed promptly.
  • Use only cleanroomapproved tools and materials and follow ISO Class 57 contaminationcontrol requirements during maintenance work.
  • Ensure maintenance activities do not compromise cleanroom integrity or critical utilities supporting production.
  • Maintain update and close CMMS (Fiix) records for PM schedules work orders corrective actions and parts usage.
  • Oversee central stores during assigned shifts including parts signout and initiating reorder requests.
  • Prepare and submit daily downtime causecode reports for operational tracking and analysis.
  • Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and provide effective troubleshooting support.
  • Perform special assignments or tasks as needed to support production and maintenance goals.
  • Maintain housekeeping standards and ensure tools and equipment are stored and used properly.

EDUCATION EQUIVALENT EXPERIENCE AND OTHER QUALIFICATIONS

  • Associate degree in a related technical field or a minimum of 5 years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Handson experience with mechanical electrical pneumatic hydraulic and automated/PLCbased systems.
  • Preferred: Additional coursework or a diploma in electronics automation or a related discipline. Experience with ultrasonic equipment or textile manufacturing is a plus.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings wiring schematics equipment manuals and technical documentation.
  • Proficiency with CMMS software (such as Fiix) for work order management preventive maintenance scheduling and maintenance history documentation.
  • Strong knowledge of preventive predictive and corrective maintenance practices.
  • Working knowledge of PLC and HMI systems industrial instrumentation and control electronics (preferred).
  • Ability to perform basic mathematical calculations including fractions decimals rates ratios and percentages.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; strong selfmotivation and initiative.
  • Effective communication skills including the ability to interpret written instructions and write clear maintenance notes and reports.
  • Sound reasoning and problemsolving abilities especially in standardized or routine troubleshooting scenarios.
  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to support mechanics provide guidance and help address minor conflicts when needed.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequent standing and walking on hard surfaces for extended periods.
  • Regular bending stooping kneeling crawling climbing ladders and reaching into under or around equipment.
  • Ability to lift move push or pull tools parts and equipment up to 50 lbs using proper ergonomic and OSHAapproved lifting practices.
  • Frequent use of hand tools power tools calibration devices electronic diagnostic equipment and ladders.
  • Work performed around energized systems with strict adherence to Lockout/Tagout procedures.
  • Work performed in a manufacturing environment with exposure to noise vibration chemicals heat and varying temperatures.
  • Regular work around moving machinery and occasional exposure to forklift traffic.
  • May work in mechanical rooms boiler rooms rooftops cleanrooms utility corridors and production areas.
  • Work may occur in contaminationcontrolled areas following ISO Class 57 gowning and cleanliness standards.
  • Use of cleanroomapproved tools materials and contaminationprevention practices.
  • Required use of PPE including safety shoes gloves eye protection hearing protection and cleanroom garments when applicable.
  • Must follow OSHA EHS and company safety regulations at all times.
  • Work may involve exposure to chemicals requiring proper handling and disposal procedures.
  • Ability to work assigned shifts overtime weekends or respond to urgent maintenance needs on short notice.
  • May be required to support emergency maintenance outside normal working hours.
